“Ameen Sayani”, a name all around in the newspapers and social media. He was a popular Indian radio announcer, who achieved the Limelight for his popular show “Binaca Geetmala“. Early life and Career

Ameen Sayani, the son of Kalsoom and Jan Mohammed Sayani was born on 21st December 1932 in a Gujarati Muslim family in the capital of Maharashtra, Bombay. Sayani referred to him as a Gandhian as his mother being a freedom fighter was very close to Mahatma Gandhi.

Talking about his career, he participated in several English programs and was introduced to All India Radio by his brother Hamid Sayani. He also made appearances in several movies such as Boxer, Bhoot Bangla etc. he was an all rounder who helped his mother in editing, publishing and printing, besides working in the marketing department of Tata Oil Mills limited as the brand executive looking after their soap brands, Hamam and Jai. Later All India radio became quite popular in India because of Sayani.
