The 69th edition of the Filmfare awards 2024 was held in Gandhinagar, Gujrat. The event was hosted by the famous Indian celebrity, and the host of “Koffee with Karan”, Karan Johar. Several Celebrities, like Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Varun Dhawan etc, performed during the celebration. It was a two-day event, which started with a curtain raiser, followed by the award ceremony. BEST FILM (POPULAR)
The various Nominees for this award were, OMG 2, Pathaan, Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani. However, the winner of this award was the recently released movie, ” 12th Fail”.
BEST DIRECTOR
The various nominees for this Award were :
Amir Rai (for OMG 2), Karan Johar ( Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani), Siddharth Anand (Pathaan), Vidhu Vinod Chopra (12th Fail).
The winner for the award was none other than the director of the film, 12th Fail, Vidhu Vinod Chopra. It was definitely a moment of pride for the director to win the award while his film received the award for Best Film.
BEST ACTOR ( LEADING ROLE)
The various nominees for the role included, Shah Rukh Khan (For Dunki, Jawaan ), Sunny Deol (Gadar 2), Ranbir Kapoor (animal), Ranveer Singh (Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Katha).
The award went to, Ranbir Kapoor, for his brilliant acting skills, in the Animal movie.

BEST ACTRESS ( LEAD ROLE)
The various nominees for the genre of award were, Alia Bhatt (Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani), Deepika Padukone (Pathaan), Tapsee Pannu (Dunki), Kiara Advani (Satyaprem ki katha).
It was a tough competition between the leads. However the award was awarded to Alia Bhatt for the movie, Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahaani.
BEST PLAYBACK SINGER (MALE)
Nominees for the award were, Arijit Singh, Bhupinder Babbal, Shahid Mallya and Sonu Nigam. The award winner from these was Bhupinder Babbal, for his song Arjan Vailly.
